Statistics of the sequence of Sierre (for location see Fig. 2) a magnitude histogram (M L) of all events recorded in 2011, b magnitude of each event and cumulative number of events as a function of time during the first 5 h of the sequence. The events are numbered consecutively (see also Fig. 7) 3 and 8 are the two strongest events, with M L 3.3 and 3.2. Focal mechanisms and macroseismic intensities of these two events are shown in Figs. 7, 8
