Vertical component seismograms recorded at station BNALP of the ML 3.0 Beckenried event of the year 2000 compared to the three Beckenried events of 2012 at epicentral distances of about 8 km. Note the larger S–P travel-time difference for the event of 2000, which is compatible with the calculated location difference between the hypocenter of this event and that of the three events of 2012. Note also the significantly larger P/S amplitude ratio of the first event of 2012 compared to that of the subsequent two events, which is indicative of a slightly different focal mechanism
