Compiled cross-section through Site 5 (Courtételle-La Rintche), constructed from the field and laboratory data collected from the site area located in a small lateral valley cut into the Oligocene molasse. At the foot of the slope, a deep palaeochannel was filled with partly organic deposits (legend in Fig. 6; height exaggerated by a factor of 10).
