Rb–Sr age diagrams calculated from whole rock and biotite analysis. Garnet micaschists from the Gaugen Complex (a) south of the Lessnigbach Shear Zone yield ages of 273 ± 3 Ma and 292 ± 3 Ma, whereas (b) for a garnet-kyanite-staurolite micaschist from north of the Lessnigbach Shear Zone an age of 221 ± 2 Ma was determined. A paragneiss from the Polinik Complex (c) yields an age of 76 ± 1 Ma
