Profile-like view of the Tödi west face. The Tödi zone includes from north to south, a south-verging non-reactivated Jurassic? normal fault (Tödi normal fault), a pinched “syncline” including Mesozoic sediments, a strongly sheared sub-vertical to overturned stratigraphic contact to the crystalline (respectively Permo-Carboniferous) substratum, a decametre-wide ductile basement shear zone with S-up sense of shear.
